BIMSTEC Thailand logo 2022-2025, Thailand to host 6th BIMSTEC Summit & related meeting on 2-4 April 2025 in Bangkok

Thailand is the chair of BIMSTEC during 2022-2025 and will host the sixth BIMSTEC Summit and related meetings, during 2-4 April 2025 in Bangkok. Key deliverables for the upcoming Summit include the BIMSTEC Bangkok Vision 2030, the Report of the Eminent Persons’ Group on the Future Direction of BIMSTEC, and the BIMSTEC Summit Declaration.

On this occasion, the government has unveiled the concept of the BIMSTEC Thailand logo 2022-2025. The logo features a grain of rice and a water stream that embrace the central emblem of the BIMSTEC summit.

Meaning: The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multisectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an international organization of seven South Asian and Southeast Asian nations. The seven member states have a very similar gastronomic culture. Therefore, the logo reflects the cooperation of the 7 BIMSTEC member countries, with a focus on "rice," which is a main food source and important export product of the region. It symbolizes the significance of connectivity and shared cultural values.
Main Elements of the Logo:
• Golden Grain of Rice represents "rice," a regional common food source and main export product, symbolizing the connectivity and shared culture among member countries.
• Blue Water Stream represents the Bay of Bengal, which links the member countries through maritime trade routes.
• Yellow and Sea Blue Colors symbolize the importance of rice and the Bay of Bengal, acting as a unifying force for all member countries, whi
le also representing mutual support and cooperation between the member states.

The designers of the logo saw that rice is important in terms of connection and culture. Therefore, the ear of rice has been used as the main concept in the design of the emblem. The characteristics of the rice and ocean emblems that together embraced the main emblem of the BIMSTEC conference, including the use of colors that remain yellow and sea blue to underscore the importance of rice and the Bengal Peninsula connecting all member states, and also representing mutual support among member states.
