If anyone is looking to taste Thai street food that is famous all over the world, especially the kinds found in Bangkok, today we recommend five famous areas that should not be missed.

1. Street food in Yaowarat, or Chinatown. Most street food shops are wide open in the evening into late at night.  There is a great variety of foods to choose from that combine Thai-Chinese culture, Thai seafood dishes, desserts, and fresh seasonal fruit, whether it's a famous dish such as Phat Thai, fried oysters, pork satay, clams, fried spring rolls, grilled squid,  Guay Jub, noodles, bakery, and special selected durian with sweet and oily taste.

2. Khao San Road is a lively place to have street food in the evening and onwards. One famous dish is fried insects, such as fried grasshoppers, fried “express train” worms, and fried caterpillars, as well as strange insects such as fried scorpions. It is a favorite of tourists who want to try strange things and take colorful photos. In addition, Phat Thai still attracts tourists, even in the unique atmosphere of Khao San Road, along with many other dishes.

3. Street food on Silom Road is available day and night, especially for lunch, mainly because it is the busiest business district in Bangkok. Head to Soi Convent and Soi Saladaeng, where the choice dishes are chicken biryani, noodles, and freshly squeezed pomegranate juice.

4. Street food around Saphan Kwai and Soi Aree. In this stretch of Phahonyothin Road, there are many popular street vendors and eating places, dishing up every kind of flavor, day and night.

5. Street food on Sukhumvit Road: There’s an immense variety of delicious food along Sukhumvit Road, in places that are known for their high standards of hygiene and deliciousness.
