EEC HDC Education Model: A Learning approach aimed at creating future skills

“EEC HDC” is a human resource development project in the Eastern Special Development Zone. Its mission is to drive cooperation with all sectors to develop personnel in line with the EEC Model.

In the EEC HDC education model, learning aims to build the skills of the future, including the production of people to meet the demands of each industry of the country.

The EEC Model is divided into two types:

EEC Model Type A and EEC Model Type B, both of which operate under the "Demand Driven" principle, focusing on addressing three issues: solving unemployment, producing highly-skilled workers in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of the EEC industry, and creating individuals with higher-than-average income.

The EEC Model Type A is designed as a degree or vocational certificate (Associate Degree) program, which is designed according to the "Demand Driven" approach, emphasizing the cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises. The curriculum is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and experience of students to meet the needs of employers, providing solutions for working in the target industry and ensuring job security for students.

The EEC Model Type B is a short-term training program that does not award a degree but provides non-degree short-course modules to produce the workforce necessary to meet private sector demand, adjust skills (Re-skill), and increase skills (Up-skill) in a short time frame, ranging from one day to one year.

The work of the EEC HDC requires cooperation from all sectors, since human development and human resource management of the country is a complex matter that requires the involvement of all stakeholders.

Currently, there are more than 150 companies and enterprises participating in the project, and EEC HDC continues to seek cooperation with industry groups and enterprises in 12 target industries.

In educational institutions, besides educational institutions in the EEC area, EEC HDC is currently expanding the cooperation to interested educational institutions nationwide.
