EEC HDC New Education System Model, Supporting the 21st Century

     “EEC HDC” is a new education model that supports the 21st century, by developing personnel in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), which is considered a prototype area that will play an important role in Thailand's future economic development. It creates opportunities for access to education in a format that enables learners to develop their potential and skills that can be used in real-life work. This also involves collaborating to develop curricula that integrate knowledge from businesses and industries in the field with schools, colleges, universities, and various institutes to develop and accumulate that knowledge for the country. This is the ultimate goal.

     EEC HDC has a mission to drive cooperation with all sectors to develop personnel according to the EEC model and the philosophy of "Education in the 21st Century”:

1. Developing skilled personnel for the workforce. Graduates of the EEC Model will have the skills to work effectively. Moreover, they will be ready for further development, as they have learned from a curriculum jointly developed by educational institutions and businesses;
2. Accumulating knowledge for the country. Working and learning collaboratively between organizations, institutions, and businesses will have direct and indirect benefits. One is accumulating expertise and technology from the workplace for future generations;
3. Producing skilled personnel to meet actual demand. In the EEC area, the focus is on the 12 targeted industries for the country's future. Each industry has different demands for skilled personnel.

     Therefore, the personnel in EEC HDC must learn to be skilled for the workforce and ready for further development. Furthermore, as the new educational approach in the EEC area must align with Industry 4.0, developing personnel with expertise in their respective fields is essential.
