A consultation meeting to formulate the 20-year development goal for Trang Province was conducted in accordance with Article 20 of the 2022 Royal Decree on Integrated Local Administration, which mandates the Integrated Provincial Administration Committee to set the 20-year provincial development goal, aligned with the national strategy and master plan. This process must take into account the development goals and guidelines for the region, the needs and potential of the people in the province, and to understand the needs and potential of the people in the area.
The Committee on Integrated Local Administration set standards and methods for the Integrated Provincial Administration Committee to survey the opinions of the people in the province. This approach emphasizes collaborative networking among all sectors, aiming to establish development directions suitable for the opportunities and potential of the province. The committee also requires comprehensive data analysis covering all dimensions, including economic, social and security aspects, as well as natural resources and the environment. The goal is to derive clear, interconnected targets, ranging from provincial development goals, provincial development issues, development guidelines, indicators, plans, and projects.
Trang Province has been selected as a pioneer province in formulating the 20-year provincial development goal. The province has undergone the process of hearing opinions from all sectors. Based on the results of past operations, Trang Province has drafted a 20-year development goal, which is "Trang: A City Thriving in the BCG Economy, with High Quality of Life and Sustainable Environment".
