Reissuing New Bonds to Replace Lost Ones: Case of Legal Entities

     Bonds are documents issued by the government or private sector to borrow money from the general public and to pay interest over a specified period. Both individuals and legal entities can hold these bond rights.

     In case a bond gets lost, a legal entity wishing to request for a new bond issuance to replace the lost original one can submit a request form as stipulated by the Bank of Thailand. The form should be signed in accordance with the signature specimen given to the Bank of Thailand. The request must be accompanied by supporting documents as follows:

  1. A notary public certificate issued by the Ministry of Commerce, not older than one month, or a document showing legal entity status issued by the government department. (If submitting documents by mail, send a copy certified by an authorized signatory in accordance with the conditions provided to the Bank of Thailand).
  2. Identification card (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy signed by the card owner).
  3. Civil servant identification card or a state organization employee card (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy signed by the card owner).
  4. Passport or alien certificate can be used in the case of foreigners. (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy signed by the passport owner).
  5. A request for a new bond issuance to replace the original one.
  6. Daily report of lost documents notification (loss report).

     Please note that the process of requesting for new bond issuance to replace lost ones in the case of legal entities will take approximately 40 minutes, depending on several factors such as the completeness and correctness of the documents, the inspector's consideration, and the time taken to correct the application. Once the entire process is complete, the result will be immediately notified to the applicant at the agency. In the case of submitting the application by post, the result will be notified within 7 days from the completion of the review, and no fee is required.
