Changing the Contact Address and Interest-Receiving Account for Legal Entities

For those interested in investing, particularly in bonds or debt securities issued by the government or private sector to borrow money from the public, the details for the payment of interest are as follows:

  1. The money will be transferred into a savings account as notified by the rights holder (excluding special savings accounts and fixed deposit accounts).
  2. Withholding tax will be deducted according to the rate announced in the Revenue Code, for example, 15% for individuals and 1% for limited companies. A tax withholding certificate and an interest remittance slip will be sent to the rights holder by mail before the interest payment due date.

For rights holders of certificated bonds who wish to change their contact address/interest-receiving account, the authorized signatory of the legal entity must submit a request to register/change the registration. The signature should match the one provided to the Bank of Thailand, along with the following supporting documents:

Documents required for consideration:

  1. Certificate of incorporation from the Ministry of Commerce, not older than 1 month, or a certificate of being a legal entity issued by a governmental agency (if submitting documents by mail, please send a certified copy by the authorized signatory according to the conditions provided to the Bank of Thailand).
  2. National identification card (if submitting documents by mail, please send a certified copy by the cardholder).
  3. Civil servant identification card or state organization employee card issued by the affiliated agency, and must contain a national ID number (if submitting documents by mail, please send a certified copy by the cardholder).
  4. Passport or Alien Registration Certificate can be used for foreigners (if submitting documents by mail, please send a certified copy by the passport holder).
  5. Application to register/change registration.
  6. First page of savings/current account passbook (only for changes in the interest-receiving account), with a signature certifying the accuracy of the copy by the authorized signatory.

The entire process to change the contact address and interest-receiving account for legal entities should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on several factors such as the completeness and correctness of the documents, the inspector's consideration, and the time taken to correct the application. Once the entire process is complete, the result will be immediately notified to the applicant at the agency. In the case of submitting the application by post, the result will be notified within 7 days from the completion of the review, and no fee is required.
