The Provincial Salesman team is a provincial level organization established by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce. It is a crucial mechanism to support SMEs and Micro SMEs in driving the regional economy, to ensure a robust national economic base and to prepare them for expanding their business opportunities to the international trade stage.
The New Economy Academy, or the NEA Institute, has organized the Provincial Salesman Go-Inter practical training program for two iterations already, and this year, the third round of training was held on March 7-10, 2023. The training aims to elevate knowledge in international trade, including product catalog designing with Canva, English for international communication, script writing for product catalog presentation, negotiation techniques, public speaking, personality development for international business, and business presentation/pitching.
The Provincial Salesman team will use the acquired knowledge to boost regional economic development and transfer the knowledge to SMEs and Micro SMEs. This will enable them to improve their capabilities in international trade, confidently negotiate with foreign business partners in English, and present or pitch their business professionally. They will become well-rounded exporters, excelling in both trade business and global communication skills.
This training program, now in its third year, has attracted over 1,000 interested participants.
This year, the NEA Institute has added practical training workshops, providing opportunities for the provincial sales teams and entrepreneurs to practice presenting or pitching their businesses in English. Experts in English, personality development, communication, and negotiation provide close guidance. The knowledge acquired from the training will be applied practically to propel the Thai economy onto the international trade stage.
