Registration fees for international invention patents (PCT)

There are different fees for each type of application when registering an international patent under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), as follows:

1. Fee for application for international invention patent: 500 baht;
2. Fee for application for a new petty patent: 250 baht;
3. Fee for requesting to review of an international application consideration result: 50 baht;
4. Fee for requesting consideration before 30 months: 50 baht;
5. Fee for the publication of a patent: 250 baht;
6. Fee for requesting for examination of invention: 250 baht (in this case, the process can be completed within 5 years from the date of publication);
7. Fee for registering a patent: 500 baht;
8. Fee for requesting amendments of patent application: 50 baht. This fee shall be paid when the applicant wishes to amend or add supplemental documents. When the official considers the application and finds a correctable defect, the applicant must amend it according to the officer's instructions;
9. Fee for opposition to the grant of a patent: 250 baht. This fee shall be paid by anyone who has a stake in the matter or believes they have a better right to the patent than the applicant and wishes to oppose the application. The opposition form must be applied within 90 days of the publication date;
10. Fee for requesting to change the type of patent: 100 baht. This fee is applicable when changing a request for an invention patent to a petty patent.
