Import Entry with “Red Line” status to inspect HS code, price, and details of goods

There are two types of Import Entry for customs clearance, one of which is “Red Line” status, which means HS code, price, and goods details must be clarified. The process is as follows:

     Importers must contact the TG or BFS warehouse to prepare for inspection (Import Entry status is 0301). Officers at the warehouse will put data into the system, and after that, the inspector will be assigned automatically.

  1. Importers prepare documents for inspection, such as the air waybill, invoice, documents for any tax exemption, or packing list. After all documents are submitted, the inspector will check the HS code, price, and goods according to regulations;
  2. In case that goods need to be approved by customs law or if the importer is applying for tax exemption, the importer writes/ types the Import Entry number on the right side of verified documents and submits them to the inspector. Also, if other departments related to customs would like to inspect the goods before releasing them, importers must take the goods to the officer.
