Located on the cliffside near Pha Tak Suea Temple in the Pha Tang Subdistrict of Sangkhom District in Nong Khai Province is Thailand’s first skywalk, the Wat Pha Tak Suea Skywalk. Clear glass juts out in the form of a U from the edge of the cliff, providing a panoramic view of the Mekong River and the surrounding landscape in Laos. In the mornings during the winter, there is a thick sea of fog, and it is as if we are strolling on the fog itself.
The temple grounds of Wat Pha Tak Suea have a parking space for visitors who arrive by car. The atmosphere in the sanctuary is dark and mysterious. At the peak, you’ll discover a temple accessible via a long Naga staircase and a second checkpoint.
Wat Pha Tak Suea Skywalk is open to visitors from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
