Statistics for the provinces with the highest income from foreign tourists in each region in 2022

       After Thailand relaxed the COVID-19-related measures and opened the country to welcome foreign tourists, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports prepared a summary of income from foreign tourists in Thailand during January to October 2022. 

       According to the data, Bangkok has the highest income from foreign tourists at 123,386.46 million baht, higher than 2021 by 1,663.62%, and the southern region has the highest income from foreigners in all provinces at 143,595.6 million baht.

Below is a summary of figures for provinces with the highest income from foreign tourists from January to October 2022 (classified by region):

 - Bangkok has the highest income from foreign tourists at 123,386.46 million baht;

 - The central region has a total income of 899.14 million baht from foreign tourists; Samut Prakan Province has the highest income at 426.98 million baht, followed by Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province at 327.74 million baht;

 - The western region has a total income from foreign tourists of 1,270.83 million baht, Prachuap Khiri Khan with the highest income at 854.11 million baht, followed by Kanchanaburi at 191.42 million baht;

 - The eastern region has a total income of 13,658.61 million baht from foreign tourists, Chonburi Province with the highest income at 13,283.52 million baht, followed by Rayong at 178.64 million baht;

 - The southern region has a total income of 143,595.6 million baht from foreign tourists, Phuket Province with the highest income at 127,927.99 million baht, followed by Surat Thani at 7,586.44 million baht;

 - The northern region has a total income of 6,756.15 million baht from foreign tourists, Chiang Mai with the highest income at 4,246.8 million baht, followed by Chiang Rai at 1,585.4 million baht;

 - The northeastern region has a total income of 1,522.02 million baht from foreign tourists, Nong Khai Province with the highest income at 526.53 million baht, followed by Udon Thani at 385.7 million baht.
