This is aimed at facilitating foreign nationals intending to travel to Thailand.
Steps to apply for an online visa:
After the e-Visa has been approved, an electronic mail confirmation will be sent to the applicant. Please print the confirmation document received through the electronic mail for presentation to the airline and Thai immigration officers for verification when traveling to Thailand.
In addition to this, there's another system that adds convenience for foreign nationals in Thailand, the “e-Extension” system. This service, offered by the Royal Thai Police and Immigration Bureau, allows temporary stay extensions in the Kingdom to be processed electronically. This modernizes and sets a new standard for service delivery to foreign nationals by allowing them to apply for extensions and pay fees electronically.
This pioneering system allows for stay extensions in Bangkok for foreigners residing or having state workplaces in Bangkok. The service covers 12 reasons or necessities for extensions such as tourism, teachers in state schools, studying in state schools, media, medical professionals.
In the event that a foreign national transitions to using the "e-Extension" or Electronics Extension of Temporary Stay in The Kingdom: e-Extension system, they can fill in the information themselves at any time online and meet with the officer to verify their identity and receive their visa sticker in no more than 3 minutes.
