Application for Extension of Recruitment or Pre-Announcement of Job Recruitment - Submission to Thai Overseas Employment Administration, Department of Employment

     From the statistics between 2022-2023, the Department of Employment granted 113,186 Thai workers to work abroad. The top five countries where Thai workers travel to work are Taiwan, South Korea, Israel, Japan, and Malaysia. These quality workers are skilled and are needed by employers in foreign countries.

Companies that wish to apply for an extension of the recruitment period or pre-announcement of job recruitment, when submitting the application to the Thai Overseas Employment Administration, Department of Employment, must meet the following criteria and conditions:

  1. Permission to recruit or pre-announce job recruitment can be granted according to necessity but no more than 60 days. If the licensee wishes to extend the period of permission to recruit workers, they must submit an application and documents following form Jor Ngor 22 Kor, 10 business days before the expiration of the job recruitment permit. The reason why it is impossible to recruit workers and a plan for sending workers to the Department of Employment must be attached.
  2. The extension of the period for permission to recruit or pre-announce job recruitment is allowed only once according to necessity but not more than 30 days from the date the job recruitment permit expires.
  3. Those who are eligible to apply for an extension of the recruitment period or pre-announcement of job recruitment at the Thai Overseas Employment Administration include the employment permit holders who have employment agencies located in all provinces nationwide.

     The process according to the manual begins when the officer checks that the documents are complete as specified in the public service manual. If the application or evidence is incomplete and/or defective and cannot be considered, the officer will prepare a record of document discrepancies or additional documents to be submitted. 

     The applicant must correct and/or submit additional documents within the period specified in the record. Otherwise, the application will be deemed abandoned by the officer. The applicant or authorized signatory must sign the record and a copy of the discrepancy record will be provided to the applicant or authorized person as evidence. The result will be notified to the applicant within 7 days from the date of completion of the consideration.

Documents used in the application for extension of recruitment or pre-announcement of job recruitment abroad, when submitting the application to the Thai Overseas Employment Administration, Department of Employment, are as follows:

  1. Application for extension of recruitment or pre-announcement of job recruitment (Form Jor Ngor 22 Kor) (original 1 set)
  2. Job recruitment permit (original 1 set) specifically signed and approved.
  3. List of names and addresses of job seekers (original 1 set) must be a list of names and addresses of the job seekers who have been recruited.
  4. Worker dispatch plan (original 1 set)
  5. Summary of worker dispatch results (original 1 set)
