Applying for an Extension of the Overseas Employment Dispatch Period
When submitting an application to the Thai Overseas Employment Administration, Department Of Employment, the following criteria and conditions apply:
- If the license recipient wishes to request an extension of the dispatch period due to the inability to dispatch the already licensed workers to work overseas within the designated period specified in the letter of permission for overseas employment dispatch, they must apply for an extension of the dispatch period, attaching the letter of permission for overseas employment dispatch to the Director prior to the expiration of the said permission letter.
- The extension of the overseas employment dispatch period can be granted only once as necessary, but not more than 30 days from the date the letter of permission for employment dispatch expires.
- The individuals eligible to apply for an extension of the overseas employment dispatch period at the Thai Overseas Employment Administration include the licensed employment providers with employment offices located in every province throughout the country.
As for the procedures outlined in the manual, the countdown begins once the officials have confirmed that all documents as specified in the Public Service Manual have been completely submitted. In the case where an application or evidence is incomplete and/or defective and unable to be considered, the officials will make a record of the defects in the document or evidence that needs additional submission. The applicant must correct and/or submit additional documents within the period specified in such a record, otherwise it will be considered that the applicant has abandoned the application by the officials and the applicant or the authorized signatory signs such a record, and a copy of such defect record will be provided to the applicant or the authorized person as evidence. The result of the consideration will be notified to the applicant within 7 days from the date the consideration is completed.
