How to travel from Suvarnabhumi Airport

       Nowadays, traveling from Suvarnabhumi Airport to other destinations is no longer difficult because there are numerous options, with both public and more private transportation.

1. Car / Taxi
       Passengers traveling by car may find the following routes convenient:

  • North: Bangkok - Chonburi Elevated Road;
  • Northeast: Rom Klao or King Kaeo Road;
  • East: On Nut Road;
  • West:  King Kaew Road;
  • South: Bangna-Trad Road and Burapha Withi Tollway.

       Passengers who wish to travel into the city center, or another province, but prefer privacy, speed, and safety may choose to use the car rental service on the 1st floor of Suvarnabhumi Airport, with a variety of car rental companies.

       Another choice is Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, operating AOT Limousine, which offers a range of cars and prices, with reliable drivers.  Booking counters are located in the baggage claim area and just outside, in the Arrivals Hall. Cars may be booked in advance over their website, www.aot-limousine.com.

2. Public transport
       Passengers whose ultimate destination is not Bangkok but one of the popular provinces or islands may find a bus going their way, at the Bus Terminal.

  • Bus Terminal, 1st Floor, Gate 8:
    • Pattaya (Jomtien), Bus No. 389 from 6:00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
    • Hua Hin, Bus No. 789 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
    • Koh Chang, Bus No. 392 at 7:50 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m.
    • Chachoengsao - Rong Kluea Market (Sa Kaeo), Bus No. 390 at 7:30 a.m.
    • Nakhon Ratchasima - Khon Kaen - Udon Thani - Nong Khai, Bus No. 825 at 9:00 p.m.
    • Chonburi, Bus No. 9904 from 9:10 a.m. to 6:10 p.m.
    • Chanthaburi, Bus No. 9907 at 12:40 p.m.
    • Trat, Bus No. 9908 at 11:40 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
    • Sriracha - Laem Chabang, Bus No. 9909 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • Sa Kaeo, Bus No. 9916 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) buses at the Passenger Terminal, 1st Floor, Gate 7:
    • Khaosan (Sanam Luang), Bus No. S1, 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    • Rangsit (Ram Inthra Road), Bus No. 554, 24 hours a day.
    • Rangsit (Rama 9 Expressway), Bus No. 555 from 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
    • Central Rama 2, Bus No. 558, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:40 p.m.

3. Airport Rail Link
       Easy and fast access to the city is available via Airport Rail Link, City Line, Suvarnabhumi Airport Station on B floor. It travels into the heart of the city, making stops at Lat Krabang Station - Ban Thap Chang - Hua Mak - Ramkhamhaeng - Makkasan - Ratchaprarop. The terminal station at Phaya Thai Station connects to Phaya Thai BTS Skytrain. The service period is from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. 

4. Vans
       For passengers who want to save time and money when traveling from the airport, public vans are also a good option, with the following routes to areas on the edge of the city:

  • Van No. 549, Suvarnabhumi - Min Buri, from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Van No. 552, Suvarnabhumi - On Nut, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Van No. 552A, Suvarnabhumi - Pak Nam (Samut Prakan), from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Van No. 555, Suvarnabhumi - Don Mueang, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Van No. 559, Suvarnabhumi - Rangsit, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

5. Travel between Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport free of charge by Airport Shuttle Bus service at the platform of Passenger Terminal, 2nd Floor, Gate 3, available from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (only for passengers with air tickets for transit).
