MRT Purple Line Guide 

       The Mass Rapid Transit Project’s Chalong Ratchadham Line (Khlong Bang Phai Station - Tao Poon Station), also known as the MRT Purple Line, has a total distance of 23 kilometers, consisting of 16 elevated stations.

       It starts from Khlong Bang Phai, which is the location of the Electric Train Depot, Outer Ring Road (West) Kanchanapisek, turning left onto Rattanathibet Road, crossing the Chao Phraya River near the Phra Nang Klao Bridge until reaching Khae Rai Intersection, turning right onto Tiwanon Road, turning left onto the Bangkok-Nonthaburi Road until reaching Tao Poon Intersection, with Tao Poon Station connecting to the Blue Line extension. Passengers can change the route from the Purple Line to the Blue Line Extension at Tao Poon Station.

Service hours

Monday - Friday: 5:30 - 12:00 a.m.

Saturday - Sunday and public holidays: 6:00 - 12:00 a.m.

Frequency: Not exceeding 9 minutes per train during non-rush hours. 

Frequency: During rush hours from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. not exceeding 6 minutes per train.

The number of MRT trains is up to 21 trains.

Fares start at 14 baht and go up to 42 baht.

Currently, the Purple Line connects to the Blue Line at Tao Poon Station and connects to the Light Red Line Bang Sue - Taling Chan at Bang Son Station

       In the future, it will connect to two lines: the Pink Line Khae Rai - Min Buri at Nonthaburi Civic Center Station, which is expected to open for service in September 2023, and the MRT Purple Line Extension, Tao Poon - Rat Burana, which is expected to open for service by 2027. This is another route that connects traveling in Bangkok, Thon Buri, and Phra Nakhon districts, including Samut Prakan Province.
