When foreigners wish to travel to Thailand, regardless of the purpose of travel, one of the important procedures is applying for a visa from a Thai embassy or consulate-general, or applying for a visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Immigration Office. Depending on the purpose of travel, application for a Non-Quota Immigrant Visa requires the following documents:
1. TM.22 form;
2. Passport or documents in lieu of passport;
3. Residence certificate or substitute of residence certificate;
4. Valid alien certificate (renewed);
5. One half-body photo with straight face and without a hat, size 4×6 cm, taken within 6 months;
6. 1,900 baht fee for single and 3,800 baht for multiple. The processing time is within 140 minutes.
If you are in Bangkok and its vicinity, the documents must be submitted to Sub-Division 1 (Residence Certificate Division), Immigration Division 1, The Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary, 2nd Floor, Building B, 120 Moo 3, Chaengwattana Road, Thung Song Hong, Lak Si, Bangkok 10210.
