The government is moving forward with the project "10 Beautiful Canals, Clear Water, Happy Thai People" in honor of His Majesty the King. This project involves improving the landscapes along the canals around Bangkok, including Khlong Ong Ang, Khlong Bang Lamphu, and the area of Mahakhan Public Park. This development not only helps creates a pleasant atmosphere to attract tourists but also increases income for local communities.

In addition to landscaping improvements, the government has established mechanisms for waste disposal, housing organization, infrastructure development, and increased lighting to enhance the scenery in these areas. The goal is to develop the canals around Bangkok into a "walkable city" that revives the identity and lifestyle along the canals, making them a renowned tourist attraction in Bangkok, with plans to expand to other water resources nationwide.
This project not only promotes tourism and increases income for communities but also enhances the quality of life for people living along both sides of the canals.
