PTT has partnered with NRF to expand into the rapidly growing plant-based protein market in Thailand and ASEAN. Recently, they established a joint venture to develop and produce plant-based protein in response to consumer trends towards healthier and environmentally-friendly food. The production facility in Thailand aims for a capacity of 3,000 tons per year and will utilize foreign technology to ensure high-quality products that meet international standards.
This joint venture not only focuses on developing plant-based protein but also expands research and development into alternative proteins such as beans, mushrooms, seaweed, and oats to create diversity in the future food market, addressing the increasing demand in the ASEAN region. Currently, the factory has begun commercial production and has received international food safety certifications from BRC and HACCP, enhancing customer confidence.
PTT and NRF are committed to making Thailand a hub for plant-based protein production in ASEAN, which will promote the growth of the Thai economy and provide new options for consumers in the region.
