Thailand is rapidly advancing toward becoming the “Future Hub for Electric Vehicle (EV) Manufacturing.”
Recently, the global Chinese automotive giant, Changan Automobile, announced plans to develop the skills of over 2,000 Thai workers by 2026.
This will be achieved through the region’s first right-hand drive EV research and development center, located in Thailand, along with establishing its Asia-Pacific regional office—demonstrating strong confidence in Thai talent!
In collaboration with the Board of Investment (BOI), this initiative offers:
✅ Thai professionals the opportunity to join R&D teams innovating right-hand drive EVs
✅ Educational institutions and local parts manufacturers access to advanced technology transfer
✅ Skill upgrades to meet international standards, creating quality jobs in a regional production hub
This is a smart investment for the country!
Changan’s factory in the Rayong Industrial Estate aims to use 80% Thai-made parts by 2028, driving Thailand forward as a concrete “Asia-Pacific EV Center.”
