Thailand is unlocking the potential of its youth by developing high-skilled vocational innovations, aligning with global labor market needs!
On February 25, 2025, a significant collaboration was formed between the Education for Equality Fund (EEF), the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC). They signed an MOU for the "High-Skilled Vocational Innovation Scholarship" project, offering opportunities to underprivileged youth in three pilot provinces (Kamphaeng Phet, Khon Kaen, and Phuket) to pursue a free two-year vocational certificate (PvS). Upon graduation, students are guaranteed immediate employment!
This initiative allocates 133 scholarships across eight vocational fields based on the real needs of 21 local businesses. It emphasizes curriculum development in partnership with the private sector, from student selection to teaching methods and job guarantees. This helps reduce intergenerational poverty and increase high-skilled labor in local areas.
