Thailand Tourism Moves Forward with the Launch of the Tourist (MICE) Visa to Attract International MICE Events to Thailand

The Tourist (MICE) Visa is specifically designed for those participating in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) industry in Thailand. This visa is part of the "Tourist Visa" and is suitable for individuals attending conferences, seminars, exhibitions, or trade shows in Thailand, supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

Steps for Applying for a Tourist Visa (Single Entry) :

• The visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Travelers must enter Thailand within this 3-month period.
• The maximum stay in Thailand is 60 days.
• The stay can be extended by another 30 days, with a total maximum stay of 90 days.
• The Tourist (MICE) Visa is exclusive to MICE industry participants and is supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
• If a Tourist (MICE) visa  holder violates entry conditions, the permit will be revoked, and future entry to Thailand will be prohibited.
• If applicants do not have a valid Visa or Re-entry Permit, they must apply for a visa at least 15 business days before travel. Applications can be made online at thaievisa.go.th (fees apply and are non-refundable).

Documents Required for Application :

• Passport biodata page (personal information page) or travel document, valid for at least 6 months.
• A photograph taken within the past 6 months.
• Proof of current status (driver's license, bank statement, or accommodation evidence).
• Flight itinerary to and from Thailand, including the applicant’s name, travel date, airport name, and flight number.
• Proof of accommodation in Thailand, such as hotel reservations or a letter of invitation from family/friends in Thailand.
• An endorsement letter from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), stating the applicant's name, passport number, event participation date, and signed by an authorized person.

Important Recommendations :

• If the applicant does not submit all the required documents or provides unclear image files, additional documents may be requested, which could delay visa processing.
• All supporting documents must be submitted with certified English translations, verified by the embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
