Traditional Thai medicine is advancing towards the global stage as Thailand’s Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine partners with two leading Japanese organizations to jointly develop and promote Thai traditional medicine internationally. This collaboration is a significant milestone in exchanging knowledge, research, and human resource development in Thai traditional medicine to achieve higher standards.
The collaboration will focus on exchanging academic knowledge, conducting joint research, and developing Thai traditional medical personnel. Both countries will have the opportunity to learn and advance Thai traditional medicine together. Furthermore, this opens opportunities for Thai traditional medical practitioners to study and receive training in Japan, while Japanese practitioners in Thai traditional medicine will also study and exchange knowledge in Thailand.
Following the signing ceremony, the Japanese delegation visited the Thai Traditional Health Promotion Center to learn about Thai health treatments and promotion practices, emphasizing the solid collaboration between the two countries.
This collaboration marks an important step in elevating Thai traditional medicine to global recognition and will benefit both countries in developing more efficient health system.
