Travel calendar (March) – Phra Nakhon Khiri - Muang Phetchaburi Fair, Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park, Phetchaburi

The 36th Phra Nakhon Khiri - Muang Phetchaburi Fair for the year 2023 is being held under the name of the event “Visit Prippri City - Praise the King - Land of Creation of Thai Food” between 17 and 26 March 2023 at the Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park (Khao Wang) and King Mongkut's Memorial Park, in order to honor King Mongkut (Rama IV) and King Rama V. King Mongkut had great influence on Phetchaburi Province, gracing it with an exceptional hilltop palace.

The ancient city of Phetchaburi has been revered for its significance and prosperity ever since it was founded. Over its history, all of the country’s best artists and architects congregated here, and their work can be admired in the ruins of long-lost palaces and the magnificent monasteries that dot the landscape. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) named Phetchaburi the City of Gastronomy in 2021 for its commitment to culinary innovation.

It can be said that the Phra Nakhon Khiri - Muang Phetchaburi event in 2023 is unique in that each night is packed with a variety of forms of entertainment, from food to music to fireworks. Additionally, visitors should not pass up the opportunity to try and purchase authentic regional cuisine. Snacks and products from the area, many of which are excellent and unique, make excellent souvenirs, too.
