Foreigners who want to work in Thailand, in addition to having a legal work permit, must comply with the announcement of the Ministry of Labor on stipulating prohibited work for foreigners, amounting to 40 jobs. But of this number, there are 13 jobs that foreigners may do, under the conditions in List 2, i.e., allowing foreigners to work according to international agreements or obligations, such as accounting profession, engineering profession, and architecture profession.
As for List 3, there are conditions for foreigners in handicrafts or semi-skilled work, but only for jobs that have employers:
As for List 4, the main conditions are that foreigners may take only jobs that have employers and if they are allowed to enter the Kingdom under the laws on immigration made through memorandums of understanding made by the Thai government with foreign governments, including labor work and storefront sales.
