Nakhon Ratchasima Province – Nine Michelin Guide Restaurants, 2023

     Nakhon Ratchasima is one of the four provinces in the Northeast that have restaurants selected in the Michelin Guide 2023. Here are the nine that were singled out for their great food, earning them the “Bib Gourmand.”

1. Ban Paeng Hom, a Thai restaurant where every dish is delicious, in everyone's opinion. The food might not look spectacular, but it tastes amazing and there are many selections on the menu that are reasonably priced. Everyone who travels to Korat ought to try it.

2. Pradok Thai rice flour noodles at Ban Kru Yot, a famous noodle restaurant in Korat that has been a legend for more than 20 years. The dish that should not be missed is none other than the noodles made from Thai rice flour; Pradok Thai rice flour noodles are unique for being thick, round, chewy and soft, and they’re served with hot fried chicken for the ultimate in deliciousness.

3. Krua Kampun, a well-known Thai restaurant in Khao Yai, is situated by water and has a laid-back environment. The restaurant's menu offers a wide selection, with a concentration on spicy Isaan food and authentic Thai flavors.

4. Krua Suwimon, one of the greatest Thai restaurants in Korat, offers a laid-back ambiance and a gracious range of cuisine selections.

5. Pen Lao, a different eatery in the Khao Yai area that you must visit to savor Isaan cuisine. Anyone who likes Isaan cuisine shouldn't miss the restaurant's greatest dishes, which include Tum Korat, Tum Mour, Lao Curry, Bamboo Shoot Soup, Pork Namtok, Namtok Pig Neck, Namtok Beef, Grilled Chicken, Fried Chicken with Garlic, and Stir-Fried Noodles. 

6. Saeng Thai  Grilled Chicken, a historic Korat delicacy that is difficult to replicate – a whole, skewered, grilled chicken with crisp skin and juicy, flavorful meat.

7. The Dessert Store Ochin Korat is another unique place that exists only in Korat because there’s no other branch. The desserts are composed of fried flour and are soft inside but crunchy on the exterior. The stuffing may vary from day to day and includes sweet stuffing, red bean stuffing, soy stuffing, corn stuffing, salty stuffing, and vermicelli stuffing.

8. Larb Somphit, another renowned eatery in Korat. The larb (spicy grilled meat) selection is the greatest attraction here, with other grilled dishes that are also really delicious.

9. The best raht na (stir-fried noodles) restaurant in the city of Korat is Piya Raht Na, Sawai Rieng. The restaurant employs only high-quality ingredients, but affordably. Its signature dish is Topped Egg Raht Na, which the restaurant tops with an omelet.
