Thailand Medical Hub

The development of Thailand as an international medical hub, the Thailand Medical Hub, can be achieved by emphasizing the strengths of the outstanding natural attractions 

tourism coupled with health services. For example, “natural hot springs” which Thailand currently has 112 natural hot springs across all regions (from the survey of the Ministry of Nature and Environment) with surface temperatures in the range of 40-100 °C.

The Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health has analyzed the properties of minerals in hot spring water for health benefits and found that its properties of minerals have beneficial effects on health which can treat and alleviate some of the symptoms that are the causes the diseases. Therefore, there is an idea to develop products from hot springs under the cooperation of many entities as follows. 

 - Cosmetics from salt hot spring in Khlong Thom District, Krabi Province such as mineral water spray, skin serum, sunscreen with anti-wrinkle, skin smoothing, antibacterial, antioxidant and moisturizing properties.

 - Fang Hot Spring Products Group, Chiang Mai Province, has used hot spring water as ingredients for various products such as skin lotion, shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner. The combination of mineral water and Sainampeung orange peel extract helps in the elimination of bacteria, rashes and itching and promotes good blood circulation.
