The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, has stipulated the criteria and conditions for registration of aquatic quarantine facilities. The applicant must have the authority to sign and acknowledge the amendment of the application. The implementation period, according to the Public Handbook, starts when the officer finishes reviewing the completeness and correctness of supporting documents. If the application is incomplete or incorrect, the officer must not accept the application.
In cases when the application and documents are incomplete or incorrect and cannot be amended at that time, the officer receiving the application and the applicant sign the memo about the document error, and specify the deadline for the applicant to take corrective action. If the applicant fails to take further corrective action within the prescribed period, it will be assumed that the applicant no longer wishes to submit the application. When the officer has received the information, the officer must consider and notify the applicant of the results of the consideration within 30 working days. (The period according to the first paragraph shall be from when the officer agrees that the applicant has submitted the application with the complete documents and evidence.)
In case of reference to academic work, the cited documents must be attached. In case of doubts about the evidence submitted, the committee or the authorized person must inform the applicant for further clarification. If the aquatic quarantine facility applying for registration does not meet the standards prescribed by the Department of Fisheries, or if any other defects have been found, the responsible officer must notify the applicant and clarify the solution within 7 working days from the date of assessment or the date of the committee’s resolution. The process of registering the aquatic quarantine facility is deemed to have ended without the registration of the quarantine facility, except in the case there is a memo, signed by both parties, to take the corrective action on the date of submitting the application. In this case, after the applicant is notified of the non-approval of the registration request, the applicant must correct the defects and notify the responsible officer for reconsideration within 10 working days from the date of receiving the clarification of the solution. The implementation period in case of submitting for reconsideration may not have to be in accordance with the period specified in the Public Handbook.
