Those who wish to shoot a foreign film in a national park in a short filming period, including documentaries, commercials, still images, music videos, and videos with animals involved, must apply for permission according to criteria specified by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation. The applicant must prepare the relevant documents and fees. The application procedures are as follows:
1. The applicant notifies the officer, who will issue a receipt confirmation form (1 hour);
2. The officer examines the completeness and accuracy of all documents and evidence and signs to register the application when the documents are complete and correct (5 hours);
3. The officer considers whether such filming permission has content and format that is not contrary to the Thailand National Parks Act, B.E. 2562 (2019) and other related legislations without damaging natural resources and the environment, as well as not being contrary to good morals (1 working day);
4. The permit is prepared and proposed to the authorized person (1 working day);
5. The Director-General or the person assigned by the Director-General signs the permit for approval, according to the committee resolution (2 working days).
