An International Business Center (IBC) is a company established under Thai law to provide administrative services, technical services, support services, or treasury services to affiliated enterprises or to conduct international trade.
The following qualifications are required for submitting an IBC establishment application:
- Paid-up capital of 10 million baht or more on the last day of each accounting period;
- There are at least ten employees who regularly work for IBC and have the necessary knowledge and skills. If an IBC only provides treasury management services to affiliated enterprises, at least 5 such employees are required;
- In each accounting period, have expenses paid to recipients in Thailand totaling at least 60 million baht;
- Provide management, technical, support, and treasury management services to affiliated enterprises in the country and abroad;
- Comply with the rules, procedures and conditions announced by the Director-General of the Revenue Department.
* If an IBC lacks any qualifications during any accounting period, benefits will be suspended only during that accounting period.
** If an IBC has been denied tax benefits for at least two consecutive accounting periods or is not an IBC, the Director-General of the Revenue Department has the authority to revoke the IBC beginning with the first accounting period.
Approval submission
- Submit an approval request via electronic system via the Revenue Department’s website;
- Submit business plans, details of affiliated enterprises in the country and abroad, and other related documents via the electronic system via the Revenue Department's website:

- Detailed staff with knowledge and skills required for an IBC;
- Details of aliens applying for personal income tax reduction rights.
* Companies may apply for personal income tax breaks for international trade only if they also apply for breaks for being a head office or treasury center.
