Application to stay in Thailand in the case of being in charge of a conveyance or a crew of a conveyance entering through a port, station, or locality in Thailand and unable to depart Thailand

     According to the Immigration Act 1979, in Section 4, the definition of “a person in charge of conveyance" means a ship's master or person responsible for supervising a vehicle, while the term “a crew of conveyance" means a person who has a permanent position or works on a vehicle. For the purpose under this Act, it shall include a person who drives a conveyance without a crew of a conveyance.

     However, regarding "a person in charge of conveyance" and "a crew of conveyance" who are foreigners and have been granted permission by the immigration officer to enter and stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for the specified period, if such permit period has expired, they must apply for an extension of stay with the requirements as follows:

  1. TM.7 form;
  2. Copy of the applicant's passport;
  3. Confirmation letter from the relevant public or private organizations or agencies.

   Granting permission shall be based on the reason and necessity of being unable to depart Thailand.
