Application to stay in Thailand in the case of employment at the representative office

    Many foreigners who work in Thailand are stationed at the representative offices of foreign juristic persons for international trade, or in regional offices of multinational companies and their branch offices. When the permit period has expired, an application must be submitted for an extension of stay in Thailand, with the required documents, as follows:

      1. TM.7 form with one photo size 4 x 6 cm;

      2. Copy of passport and copy of the work permit;

      3. Letter explaining the positions in the company, specifying:

  • Nature of business;
  • Reason(s) of hiring, including the position, salary, and qualifications;
  • Number of Thai employees and foreigners working in the company.

      4. Business license and business certificate;

      5. Documents showing money brought or transferred into Thailand under business license conditions;

      6. Letter of appointment from head office;

      7. Income tax list of foreigners and Thai employees (PND.1) of the latest month together with receipts;

      8. Income tax list of foreigners (PND.91) of the latest year together with receipts;

      9. Copy of Social Security Fund Contributions Payment Form (Sor.Por.Sor.1-10) of the latest month;

      10. Office location map; 

      11. In case of having a family accompanying the applicant, evidence of the status of family members is required, such as marriage certificate, birth certificate, or certificate from the embassy;

      12. Letter of acknowledgment of conditions for permission to stay in the organization.
