Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days

    Foreigners who have been permitted to stay in Thailand temporarily, if staying for over 90 days, must report themselves to the Immigration Office officer every 90 days. If there is an immigration office in any locality, the competent official must be notified, in accordance with Section 37(5), the Immigration Act 1979. 

Required documents

1. Passport;
2. Departure card (TM.6); 
3. Notification of staying for over 90 days (in case the notification has been made for more than 90 days); 
4. TM.47 form with the applicant’s signature.

There are four methods of notification:

1. The foreigner makes the notification in person;
2. The foreigner authorizes another person to make the notification;
3. The foreigner makes the notification by registered mail;
4. The foreigner makes the notification via the Internet. 

Location

1. Foreigners residing in Bangkok must make the notification in person or may authorize another person to make the notification at the 90 Days Report Section, the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December, 2550, Building B, 2nd Floor, South Zone, Chaeng Wattana Road, Thung Song Hong Subdistrict, Lak Si District, Bangkok;
2. Service Center for Visas and Work Permits, Sub-Division 3, Immigration Division 1, Chamchuri Square Building, 18th Floor, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok, for foreigners working in juristic entities with a registered capital of at least 30 million baht;
3. Immigration Service Center for National Legalized Labor in Bangkok for migrant workers of Myanmar, Laotian, or Cambodian nationality in Bangkok;
4. In case of other provinces, the notification must be made at the Immigration Checkpoint in the area where the foreigner resides.

Notification by registered mail

1. Copy of passport photo page, latest entry date, and the latest entry;
2. Copy of departure card TM.6, front and back;
3. Notification of staying for over 90 days (if any);
4. Completely filled-out and signed TM.47 form;
5. Envelope with a 10-baht stamp affixed and the address of the foreigner; the officer in charge will send back the lower part of the TM. 47 form after having received the notification of staying for over 90 days with the TM. 47 form, and this must be retained for future notifications of staying over 90 days;
6. The documents specified in items 1-5 must be sent by registered mail 15 days before the due date (according to the appointment letter). The foreigner must keep the evidence of registration.
