After a foreigner has received permission from the immigration officer, they will get an entry stamp indicating the date of arrival and the validity date in Thailand, depending on the type of visa or statutory visa exemption. If the permit period expires and the foreigner wishes to extend their extension to stay in Thailand, the Immigration Act 1979, Section 35, Paragraph 2, stipulates that in the case of necessity, the foreigner may be permitted to stay longer than 1 year at a time by submitting TM.7 form and paying a fee as required by law (1,900 baht), along with supporting documents, as there are various reasons for necessity.
Foreigners wishing to stay in Thailand to work in the field of mass media must submit an application with the following requirements:
1. They must hold a Non-Immigrant Visa;
2. They must be accredited and requested by the Department of Public Relations or Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
