Starting April 28, 2025, exporters can conveniently apply for the ASEAN e-Form D through the DFT SMART C/O system using just their national ID card. This fully digital process eliminates the need for paper forms and physical visits, with documents automatically sent to customs offices at the destination country.
The e-Form D serves as a certificate of origin, allowing exporters to claim FTA benefits for import tariff reductions. Over the past three years, it has been the most widely used form by Thai exporters, with over 300,000 submissions annually.
For those new to the system, businesses can register accounts and prepare documents through the DFT SMART-I platform. More details are available at www.dft.go.th, or by calling the hotline at 1385. The Department of Commerce plans to offer a fully digital service for all steps within 2025.
