Thailand Partners with South Korea to Advance Green Technology Aligning with Global Environmental Trends

Thailand is stepping up to elevate its industrial standards worldwide. Recently, the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) signed a cooperation agreement with the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR), a leading Asian organization, to jointly promote green technology and carbon neutrality.

This partnership focuses on exchanging expertise in testing and certifying environmentally friendly products, enhancing testing processes, and providing advanced training for skilled personnel.

Currently, Thailand has 757 industrial standards related to the environment (BCG), covering key sectors such as electric vehicles, solar panels, and eco-friendly building materials. The collaboration with South Korea will strengthen these standards and boost global confidence in Thai products.

South Korea ranks as Thailand’s 13th largest trading partner, with trade valued at over 520 billion baht. This cooperation marks a significant step toward building a comprehensive and sustainable green industrial value chain.
