Thailand successfully exported its first batch of 20,000 tons of cassava hard pellets to the Middle East, marking the country’s entry into this new market. A major Saudi animal feed importer has agreed to purchase these cassava pellets, with shipping scheduled for August 2025 through Dammam Port. This region traditionally has not included cassava in animal feed formulations. However, proactive negotiations and the promotion of cassava as a substitute for traditional grains have led to strong interest in Thai products, especially for their competitive quality and nutritional benefits.
