Progress Made! Latest Meeting on the 10,000 Baht Top-up Project via Digital Wallet

The government is advancing the 10,000 Baht top-up project via Digital Wallet for the public. The main objective of this project is to stimulate the economy and alleviate the cost of living for citizens. Registration is open from August 1 - September 15, 2024, and spending is expected to commence in Q4 2024. The project details are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Citizens with registered addresses.
• Thai nationality.
• Aged 16 years or older as of the registration closing date (September 15, 2024).
• Annual income not exceeding 840,000 Baht for the 2023 tax year.
• Bank deposits in commercial banks and specialized financial institutions not exceeding 500,000 Baht.
• Not currently serving a prison sentence.
• Not subject to suspension of rights or repayment under other state measures/projects.
• Not in violation of conditions of other state measures/projects.
  Project Participation Schedule:
• General public registration from August 1 - September 15, 2024, via the "Thang Rat" application on smartphones, with no limit on the number of participants.
• Registration for those without smartphones is being prepared, with registration and identity verification scheduled for September 16 - October 15, 2024.
• Merchant registration is initially set from October 1, with further announcements to provide details on merchant qualifications, application channels, and other conditions.
• Spending Details of the Project are as follows:

1. Spending can start within the fourth quarter of 2024.
2. Spending Conditions: 2.1) Spending between citizens and shops: Citizens can spend at small shops, including small convenience stores, excluding department stores, large retail, and wholesale stores at the national and local levels. Purchases must be made within the same district as the citizen's registered address and must be face-to-face transactions. 2.2) Spending between shops: All types of shops can trade goods between each other without the requirement of face-to-face transactions.
   Registration and identity verification process through the “Thang Rat” application is divided into two forms as follows:

Form 1: Identity verification and project registration through the “Thang Rat” application from August 1 - September 15, 2024.
Form 2: Identity verification through the “Thang Rat” application before August 1, 2024, and then project registration through the “Thang Rat” application from August 1 - September 15, 2024. This process simplifies the registration steps starting from August 1.
