MOPH - MHESI have signed an MOU to support Thai research and innovation, aiming to establish Thailand as a global Medical & Wellness Hub.

This initiative is part of the government's strategy to reduce imports of medical products and services while enhancing the country's capacity to create high-quality medical innovations. The goal is not only to improve healthcare services but also to strengthen Thailand's economy.

The MOU aims to foster collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) to develop domestically produced medical products and services based on local scientific knowledge and innovation. It also seeks to decrease reliance on foreign imports, which would alleviate financial burdens and enhance Thailand's economic stability. Furthermore, the agreement emphasizes the development of innovations that meet international standards to cater to the needs of the medical and health tourism industries, positioning Thailand as a global industrial hub.

This collaboration will not only  elevate Thailand's medical system but also propel the country towards becoming a world-class center for health and wellness. With confidence in the potential of  innovations from local research and knowledge, Thailand is poised to compete firmly and sustainably in the global market.
