The Minister of Public Health, Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, has announced the public health policy for the years 2024-2025, focusing on continuing the royal initiatives through four key projects aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens.

  1. Project "Doctors Go to the People": This initiative aims to send doctors and medical personnel to remote areas to provide health check-ups and offer close consultations, particularly in rural regions where access to healthcare services is challenging.
  2. Project "Sharing Happiness from the Department of Corrections": This project focuses on the healthcare of inmates, aiming to ensure they receive quality medical care so that they can reintegrate into society in good health.
  3. Project "Upgrading Somdej Phra Yuparaj Hospital, Somdej Phra Kanitthathirach Hospital, Chai Pat Hospital, and 72 Primary Care Units": This initiative seeks to improve and develop hospitals in remote areas, emphasizing the enhancement of service standards and medical equipment to ensure comprehensive healthcare for the public.
  4. Project "Health Care for Monks": This program is designed to maintain the health of monks, enabling them to perform their religious duties effectively through health check-ups and healthcare advice.

The operations in these projects aim to enhance the quality of healthcare for the public and build confidence in the Thai public health system, with tangible results expected by 2025.
