Exploring the Deepest Underwater Subway Tunnel in Thailand: World-Class Safety.

Get ready for a new experience with the Purple Line project, which will feature the deepest subway tunnel under the Chao Phraya River in Thailand! This project not only enhances travel convenience but also serves as a crucial link between Bangkok, Samut Prakan, and Nonthaburi through a total of 17 stations along the route.

Noteworthy is the Earth Pressure Balance tunneling technology, which helps prevent ground subsidence during excavation. This includes a soil removal system, directional control equipment, and ventilation systems to ensure continuous air circulation within the tunnel. Additionally, measures are in place to prevent water seepage using high-waterproof concrete and waterproof rubber at the joints of tunnel segments.

To ensure world-class safety, this tunnel is designed to withstand various disasters, including earthquakes and underground water pressure. Emergency shafts will be provided every 730 meters to ensure passenger safety in case of emergencies.

Once completed in 2028, traveling will be easier and safer, alleviating concerns about disasters or accidents, making every journey on the Purple Line smooth and worry-free.
