3D Printing Design and Learning Center Innovative 3D Printing Technology for Personalized Prosthetic Devices

Using 3D printing technology to create prosthetic devices allows for greater personalization, leading to more effective rehabilitation, fewer complications, and reduced dependence on social support. Over the past year, more than 4,000 individuals received services, and over 5,000 custom prosthetic devices were produced.

The process starts with a 3D scan of the patient’s limb, creation of a digital model using specialized software, and then fabrication with a 3D printer. This method replaces the traditional process, which was labor-intensive and time-consuming.  As a result, prosthetic devices can be produced more quickly, with higher quality, and with greater customization for individual needs.

Currently, a large number of patients benefit from these services annually, with thousands of devices produced every year. Adoption of this technology in both patient care and medical professional training is growing, with the goal of ensuring that patients can access the highest quality, most suitable prosthetic devices.
