Travel calendar – Worshiping Na Dun Buddha relics (4-12 March 2023)

       The Buddha relics of Na Dun are considered an important religious place for the people of Maha Sarakham Province that the locals respect and have faith in, and it is a popular tourist attraction. When arriving in Maha Sarakham Province, it is difficult for Buddhists to resist the urge to pay homage to the auspicious relics, for the good of both themselves and their family. Every year there will be a Na Dun Buddha relics worship event during Makha Bucha Day for nine days and nine nights, which this year will take place between 4 and 12 March in Na Dun District, Maha Sarakham Province.

       At the festival, there are both Buddhist activities and other interesting activities, consisting of a 12-month traditional procession, a sacrifice dance procession, offering alms to monks, a candlelit procession on Makha Bucha Day, and meditation practices. There are also exhibitions of various agencies, booths selling OTOP products, light and sound performances, exhibits on the history of Champasri City and community product fairs, including music performances by many famous artists.
