Support and Promotion of Tourist Attractions according to the Concept of BCG Tourism of the Government

From BCG Model to BCG Tourism   

     The concept of BCG Tourism is the application of knowledge and technology to tourism for greater sustainability in economic development, emphasizing cooperation from entrepreneurs to operate tourism business responsibly, reducing impacts on society and the environment, sharing benefits for the good quality of life of the people.


    Thailand has relatively high biodiversity and cultural diversity such as community lifestyle, folk wisdom, agricultural society, or natural abundance. It is considered a strong cost to promote BCG Tourism towards sustainability if it is understood to be further developed to add economic value.


     A preliminary approach to adding sustainability ingredients to food tourism - community - health to tourism, what will BCG Tourism be interesting?

 


     1) Gastronomy Tourism (Gastronomy Tourism) Thailand, an agricultural city, can grow with the help of BCG Tourism by promoting socially and environmentally responsible restaurants like those that serve organic foods, which are regarded as having a production process that has a minimal negative impact on the environment and is safe for consumer health.

      Additionally, technology may be used to improve quality in areas like product supervision, quality control, packaging, marketing, and developing a channel to engage with customers online, offering farmers the chance to reach more customers.

 


      2) Local Tourism (Local Tourism) Thailand has a variety of community tourism forms such as agriculture, livestock, fishery, etc., and can apply knowledge and technology to insert sustainability concepts such as organic farming, waste sorting, waste recycling, etc.

        In addition, entrepreneurs may use technology to tell stories (Story Telling) in terms of culture, history, or way of life, publicizing community identity to create wider awareness, helping to attract tourists online. Ultimately, it will continue to strengthen the community economy.

 


        3) Wellness Tourism (Wellness Tourism) As people become increasingly interested in health, tourism operators should develop and upgrade standards of cleanliness, safety, and health-related services up to date with new technologies and cooperate with the community to share benefits equally.

      The concept of BCG Tourism is therefore part of the concept of economic development under the BCG Model to promote green business.
