Opportunity for business: Solo travel lifestyle

      Another group of tourists who value freedom includes singles, members of the new generation, and Gen Y and Gen Z. Although some of them bring work to do while traveling, they will concentrate on traveling for relaxation. Additionally, this group of tourists enjoys a variety of activities and frequently stay in hotels with two to three stars, but without making a reservation ahead (walk-in).

For those who must travel alone today, there are a few things they should do to safeguard themselves:

1. Keep valuables hidden: Keep your valuables close to you and out of sight. The best course of action is to leave them behind;

2. Dress modestly: Dressing modestly can help keep you from becoming a victim;

3. Carry a whistle: Keep it with you and easy to reach in case of an emergency;

4. Set the emergency number on the mobile phone keypad: This function is available on all mobile phones. You should set it up to call your family or close friends;

5. Always opt for an upper bed when traveling by train: When traveling by train overnight, if you opt for a sleeper, you should choose an upper bed as it is narrow and close to the ceiling, making it difficult for anyone to hurt you;

6. Always observe things around you: You should always be aware of your surroundings because threats will come when you are unaware;

7. If you’re a drinker, stay below your limit: Yes, you’re on holiday, but for a few days, try to control your elbow, for your safety, and you’ll be able to remember the good times;

8. Don’t trust strangers: It’s that simple;

9. Carry some protection: You might think of pepper spray first, but it’s against the law in Thailand. Another way out is to carry perfume or some alcohol or vinegar spray. When there is an emergency, the spray will burn the villain’s eyes;

10. Get robbed in an emergency: leave your valuables far away so you can run in another direction.

11. Choose a safe place to stay: Make sure to double-check the location of your accommodation before traveling alone. Accommodation should not be in a secluded neighborhood or far from the places you want to go

12. Choose the right luggage: For example, choose a backpack or wheeled carry-on luggage for mobility.
