Lifestyle business opportunities: Nature conservation tourism

       Most of the nature conservation tourists are in the Gen Z and Gen Y groups, often traveling for a short period of time. Most of them prefer to travel to important tourist attractions, such as national parks, along with cultural tourism. This line of tourists gives priority to accommodation that is more environmentally friendly, so they are interested in accommodation that is close to nature, such as simple hotels in the park or a tent pitch.

       But it will be even better if nature tourism is able to walk alongside conservation, mindful that visitors must not destroy natural resources, and should even try to make a place better than when they arrived. Therefore, we would like to recommend an eco-friendly travel method that anyone can follow:

1. Pack your bags with only what is needed. Pack clothes equal to the number of travel days. Reducing the weight of the bag can even save fuel and give you more flexibility, as well, since you won’t be overloading yourself;

2. Plan every trip. Before going on a trip, don't forget to plan which routes you will take, especially if you’re driving yourself. A good plan will reduce the amount of fuel used to drive around to find places, thus saving a lot of time and money;

3. Use bicycles instead of cars If you want to travel nearby, and if there are bicycles for rent. You’ll get a better view of the countryside or the city, wherever you may be;

4. Bring your own drinking glasses and lunch boxes. This is an easy way to reduce the use of bottles, plastic glasses, and plastic or foam box packaging;

5. Take garbage out with you and dump it outside the park. Whenever you travel to a park or other natural attractions, you should take a garbage bag with you. That way, you can easily remove the garbage that you created and dispose of it outside the park. Also, it’s important that you not forget to separate the garbage.

6. Do not write or make any marks on natural sites. Take photographs, or be creative and make a drawing, and leave with good memories;

7. Don't bring home natural things such as coral, rocks, or plants, because they are at their most beautiful only when they are in their natural location;

8. Support the community economy. If you want to buy souvenirs or do other shopping, you should choose services from local shops in the community, whether restaurants, grocery stores, or souvenir shops. This will create revolving income for local people, and you will become part of the cycle of sustainable tourism.
