Mechanisms supporting and developing the pharmaceutical and vaccine industry under the BCG concept

       There are several mechanisms that will be able to support and develop the pharmaceutical and vaccine industry under the BCG concept, discussed below.

1. To establish a research management unit responsible for the steps from development to advancement into industries involving cosmetics, vaccines, biopharmaceuticals, and advanced therapeutics, as well as multi-year block grant industries. The task of management is to coordinate and monitor the progress of research projects, in order to connect and coordinate with industry stakeholders, as well as considering FTO/ IP issues as a key area in considering the feasibility of product development;

2. To establish a consulting unit for domestic manufacturers from the beginning of the research and development process, to learn the path from beginning to the end in preparing registration information;

3. To support the use of technology transfer and private partnership mechanisms in the development process, to help products reach the industry;

4. To establish cooperation mechanisms with leading research institutes overseas, in both the public and private sectors, to enhance research and development capabilities and create an ecosystem for the development of vaccines and targeted biologic drugs. The cooperation networks will smooth the way for the comprehensive development of vaccines, drugs, and biologics, as well as accepting technology transfer from foreign countries with expertise in each field;

5. To develop and use precision medical technology to support the medical hub policy.
