Access to factors of production for development of the agricultural sector in accordance with the BCG Model

       Quality factors of production affect the quantity, quality, and costs of production. This is a problem for Thai farmers, who have to face problems in accessing quality inputs, such as land deterioration due to lack of maintenance, insufficient supply of high-quality seeds, and differences between the epidemic strains in Thailand and those used to develop vaccines.

       Such problems affect production efficiency and profits for farmers. Thailand has realized the importance of accelerating the development of factors of production through the use of quality inspection and certification mechanisms, including strict law enforcement, in order to provide access to the highest quality inputs for the development of the agricultural sector, in accordance with the BCG Model. Some of the measures are as follows:

 - To create entrepreneurs and enterprise and develop modern agricultural technology and factors of production by promoting access to low-cost credit, enabling them  to access the government market at an early stage, thus increasing the number of high-quality inputs;

 - To set up an inspection unit that can certify the efficiency of agricultural technology, ensuring that the technology is adequate and thorough at the local level, such as requiring local educational institutions to test the properties of the varieties of crops, etc.;

 - To improve mechanisms for distribution of factors of high-quality production and high-priced technology to farmers through the Sharing Economy system.
