Ayerweng Skywalk, Yala: The southernmost sea of fog in Siam

      Ban Than Mali in the Ayerweng Subdistrict of Betong District in the province of Yala is where you’ll find the Ayerweng Skywalk. The misty sea of Betong can be seen in every direction from this vantage spot. The 61-meter-long glass walkway is the largest of its kind in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

      What really matters is that you can gaze out at a perpetual sea of clouds. It is the largest sea of mist in Thailand, and its reputation as the southernmost sea of mist in the world precedes it. Each day, both domestic and international visitors flock to Thailand to marvel at the country's many wonders. At this vantage point, it is easy to see why Mt. Microwave Peak is considered by many to be a paradise on earth. In addition to the breathtaking scenery afforded by the perpetual fog, visitors to the peak also enjoy the refreshing mountain air. 

      The Ayerweng viewpoint’s marine fog can be seen from two different locations. Those hoping to catch the sunrise at Point 1 should head there first. At about the halfway point, you can look down upon the sea of mist from the descending slopes.

      The hours of operation for Skywalk Talay Mok Ayerweng are from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., every day of the year. The price of admission is 40 baht for Thais and 200 baht for visitors.
